# Dai (DAI) Quantum Readiness Report > Dai has a QRI score of 25/100 and is assessed at Stage 2 (Mitigation / Development) with medium evidence confidence. Evaluation date: 2026-06-05. Review status: draft. Evaluated scope: ERC-20 stablecoin token on Ethereum mainnet; inherits L1 Score [Ethereum] with token-specific admin/governance key evaluation. Dai (DAI) is a standard ERC-20 stablecoin on Ethereum that inherits its host chain's quantum-readiness posture (Ethereum QRI: 25/100, Migration Stage 2 per LayerQu). The token itself has no independent cryptographic layer; all transfers and ownership rely on Ethereum's ECDSA secp256k1 signatures. MakerDAO/Sky governance controls (minting parameters, collateral ratios, stability fees) are administered via classical ECDSA multisig wallets, creating an additional quantum-vulnerable surface. No public cryptographic inventory, quantum threat assessment, or migration roadmap has been published by MakerDAO/Sky. DAI's quantum readiness is therefore entirely gated by Ethereum's future base-layer migration and MakerDAO's eventual governance coordination. ## Core resources - [Dai QRI report](https://qrindex.org/projects/dai/): Human-readable assessment with score, stage, evidence, blockers, risks, and assurance notes. - [Dai structured report data](https://qrindex.org/projects/dai/report.json): Complete report as JSON for deterministic machine processing. - [QRI methodology](https://qrindex.org/methodology/): Scoring model, evidence handling, readiness stages, confidence, assurance, and report status. - [All QRI project reports](https://qrindex.org/llms.txt): Score-ranked index of every published project assessment. - [Dai official website](https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dai): Project-maintained website. ## Evidence sources - [Evidence source 1](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 2](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 3](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 4](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 5](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 6](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 7](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 8](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment. - [Evidence source 9](): Public source cited by the Dai QRI assessment.
